DYING LIGHT – HELLRAID Has Been Delayed; Demon-Infested DLC Will Now Launch in August

Techland has some bad news for all fans of Dying Light, as its biggest and most ambitious expansion to date — titled Dying Light: Hellraid — has been delayed and will no longer make its debut on the 23rd of July.

Instead, the unexpected spiritual successor to the Wrocław-based studio's cancelled fantasy role-playing game will be released on PC (only via Steam) on August 13, and PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 14.

"We received tons of great feedback during our beta of Dying Light – Hellraid," Techland announced yesterday. "Big thanks to everyone who participated! We’re hell-bent on applying your suggestions, so we will be launching the new game mode on August 13 for PC, and August 14 for consoles."

At its core, the upcoming expansion is a Legend of Grimrock–esque title that allows the player to slay never-before-seen enemies with medieval swords, axes, and hammers while exploring a demon-infested dungeon.

What's even better, Dying Light: Hellraid will give you a chance to gather a party of up to 4 survivors and kill various monsters in co-op. Considering that the content drop will arrive next month (priced at $9,99), we will definitely learn a whole lot more about its unique game mechanics and setting in the coming weeks.
