Ryan Reynolds Teams-Up With Jodie Comer in Three New Photos From Shawn Levy's FREE GUY

20th Century Studios has released three never-before-seen photos from Free Guy — Shawn Levy's original action comedy inspired by various popular video games, including Grand Theft Auto V, Payday, and Fortnite.

For those unfamiliar with the upcoming 20th Century Studios–produced movie, it follows the story of Guy — played by Ryan Reynolds (Life, Pokémon Detective Pikachu) — who discovers that he's an NPC in a huge, Saint Row–like sandbox. Following that shocking revelation, Guy will team-up with Jodie Comer's Molotov Girl and embark on the adventure of a lifetime to find a new purpose for the defiant background character.

Although Free Guy is supposed to hit theaters on December 11, the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic shows little signs of letting up in the Americas suggests that the flick might be pushed back (again) down the line.

Its worth remembering that Free Guy is not the only movie based on a video game (or rather video games) Reynolds is working on, as the Canadian actor is also developing an adaptation of Dragon’s Lair for Netflix.

Be sure to take a look at the colourful world of the Night at the Museum director's new project down below:

In Twentieth Century Fox’s epic adventure-comedy “Free Guy,” a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game, decides to become the hero of his own story…one he rewrites himself. Now in a world where there are no limits, he is determined to be the guy who saves his world his way… before it is too late.

Free Guy is coming to theaters on December 11, 2020.
