Phobia Game Studio's CARRION Has Been Unleashed in Truly Unsettling Launch Trailer

Devolver Digital has shared a gruesome launch trailer for Phobia Game Studio's Carrion, a brand-new Super Meat Boy–like platformer that will be released on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC as soon as tomorrow.
For those unfamiliar with the Polish studio's latest title, it's an original "reverse horror" that will allow players to take on the role of an amorphous, gelatinous alien. As the titular ever-hungry monster, you will consume every poor human being in your path to help the creature reach its final goal — breaking out of prison.
Although Phobia Game Studio is not ready to talk more about the game's PlayStation 4 port yet, there's a small chance that Carrion will arrive on the console (or its next-gen successor) at some point in the future.
Fans of the Warsaw-based game developer's first major project — 2016's Butcher, which is currently sitting at a pretty sweet 71% score on Metacritic — should definitely keep an eye on their next big thing, as Carrion seems to be a successful blood-soaked love letter to Chuck Russell's The Blob and John Carpent's The Thing.
Without further ado, take a look at the stylish Carrion release trailer — created by CRCR x WIZZ (the team responsible for the launch trailers for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege and My Friend Pedro) — right now:
CARRION is a reverse horror game in which you assume the role of an amorphous creature of unknown origin. Stalk and consume those that imprisoned you to spread fear and panic throughout the facility. Grow and evolve as you tear down this prison and acquire more and more devastating abilities on the path to retribution.
Carrion is coming to Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam and GOG) on July 23, 2020.
