Obsidian Entertainment's Grounded was released yesterday, but fans of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids–like video games with super tiny main heroes should keep an eye on Metamorphosis, as it will arrive early next month.
You read that right, Ovid Works' Metamorphosis — based on Franz Kafka’s short story of the same name — is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam and GOG) on the 12th of August.
For those unfamiliar with Metamorphosis, it's a first-person puzzle game with surrealistic visuals and at least one very important twist — as the player controls a bug — named Gregor Samsa — who used to work as a salesman. Following his transformation, Samsa will embark on a dangerous journey to regain his humanity.
It's worth remembering that Metamorphosis is not the only game the Warsaw-based team is working on, as the crew is also co-producing Nemesis: Distress, a promising survival horror that will hit stores in February.
With Metamorphosis launching in August, publisher All in! Games will definitely reveal new details on the original title in the coming weeks. In the meantime, take a closer look at its release date trailer down below:
Metamorphosis is a first person adventure set in a surrealist world where your newfound abilities are your last and only hope for redemption. Play as Gregor, turned into a tiny bug, and set out on an extraordinary journey to unravel the mystery of your transformation.
Metamorphosis is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam and GOG) on August 12, 2020.
