Team Behind BULLETSTORM and OUTRIDERS Is Developing

It turns out that the long-awaited Outriders is not the only major video game the team at People Can Fly — the award-winning creators of Painkiller, Bulletstorm, and Gears of War: Judgment — is currently working on.

Today, the Polish company revealed a "highly ambitious, groundbreaking action-adventure title" that is coming to next-gen consoles, streaming services — it's safe to say that the developer had Stadia in mind — and PC. The newly announced game will be led by its expanding New York division and supported by four other People Can Fly studios in Warsaw, Rzeszow, Newcastle, and Montreal, which will open its doors soon.

"Last year we announced the opening of our New York studio and revealed Outriders for the first time," People Can Fly CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski said. "Today we have surpassed 250 staff and are excited to announce the next chapter in the development of our company. Our intention from the beginning has been to expand People Can Fly into a multi-project studio and continue to build a global presence for our brand. With the launch of the next-generation consoles later this year, we are incredibly excited about the future of People Can Fly and the games industry as a whole.”

Considering that both Studio Head David Grijns and Creative Director Roland Lesterlin previously worked on Avalanche Studios' Just Cause 3, it's safe to say that the upcoming production will be a rather explosive title.

As a reminder, People Can Fly's next big thing — the aforementioned Outriders — is a fresh looter shooter that will arrive on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC at some point this year.
