Breathtaking New Wallpaper From One More Level's GHOSTRUNNER Has Been Released

A wonderful Ghostrunner wallpaper has been released, allowing us to take a look at a cloaked hero who's ready to embark on the journey of his lifetime and get to the top of a huge tower — humanity’s last stand.

For those unfamiliar with Ghostrunner, it's set in a Blade Runner–like city controlled by shadowy corporations that have no regard for human life. As the gravity-defying main protagonist, you will do whatever it takes to obtain the power to challenge Mara the Keymaster, a violent politician who rules the world with an iron fist.

Considering that EA's Titanfall and Mirror's Edge series have been put on hold, fans of first-person running and jumping (and killing hostile goons, from time to time) should keep an eye on the Hot Lava–like game.

Co-developed by One More Level, 3D Realms, and Slipgate Ironworks, Ghostrunner will arrive on Xbox One, PS4, and PC at some point this year, so it's safe to say that we will learn a whole lot more about the first-person adventure in the very near future. As a reminder, its Switch port will make its debut next year.

Without further ado, check out the aforementioned wallpaper from the upcoming Ghostrunner down below:

Enter an intense cyberpunk world and experience fierce, dynamic combat! Conquer your enemies in the physical world and in cyberspace. Hunt for answers in humanity’s last remaining shelter. Ascend humanity’s last remaining shelter, a great tower-city. The tower is torn by violence, poverty, and chaos. Conquer your enemies, discover the secrets of the superstructure and your own origin and obtain the power to challenge The Keymaster.

Ghostrunner is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam) in 2020; will arrive on Nintendo Switch at a later date.
