Dr. N. Tropy and Neo Cortex Escape From Prison in New CRASH BANDICOOT 4: IT’S ABOUT TIME Trailer
Mechanic: Bartosz Sobczak
Category: 3D Platformer Games
A never-before-seen trailer for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was released during yesterday's State of Play event, allowing us to take a closer look at its new gameplay mechanics and colourful cast of characters.
First of all, the long-awaited 3D platformer — which is being developed by Toys for Bob (Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy) and Beenox (Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled) — will officially give you a chance to play as Dingodile, a fan-favourite half dingo, half crocodile. That's not all, as publisher Activision also confirmed that you will be able to assume the role of the villainous Neo Cortex — Crash's personal nemesis — in the game.
Furthermore, the upcoming game — which won't feature any invasive microtransactions or loot boxes — will introduce a new way to provide fans with a sense of accomplishment, as the duo will have "dozens of costumes and wacky outfits." To get them, you will need to earn special gems or complete specific tasks.
Finally, the latest Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time trailer shone a light on the game's completely original N. Verted mode that "takes the concept of mirror mode and phase shifts it into another dimension. Perspective isn’t the only thing that changed; when playing in a dimension on N. Verted mode, that dimension may involve splattering paint to see your path forward, or keeping up with an old timey film reel that cranks up gameplay speed just as fast as it puts the picture on the screen."
