Ovid Works' Kafkaesque Adventure METAMORPHOSIS Gets Action-Packed Launch Trailer

Polish publisher All in Games! has released a surprisingly intense release trailer for Metamorphosis, Ovid Works' debut project — inspired by Franz Kafka’s short story of the same name — that is launching today.

That's right, the Warsaw-based developer's original adaptation of Kafka's Metamorphosis is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam and GOG). The title is currently priced at $22.49.

At its core, Ovid's project is a first-person puzzle game featuring some surrealistic visuals (think Grounded meets Mirror's Edge). In the game, you take on the role of salesman Gregor Samsa — or rather his teeny-tiny alter ego. Considering that his beetle self is super small, overcoming obstacles will be much more imposing.

It's worth remembering that the young studio's next major production — Nemesis: Distress, a promising survival horror which is being co-produced by Awaken Realms Digital and Ovid — will arrive in February.

To learn more about the bizarre — yet ordinary — world of Metamorphosis, check out this brand-new trailer:

Metamorphosis is a first person adventure set in a surrealist world where your newfound abilities are your last and only hope for redemption. Play as Gregor, turned into a tiny bug, and set out on an extraordinary journey to unravel the mystery of your transformation.

Metamorphosis is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam and GOG).
