Guerrilla Releases New Patch for HORIZON ZERO DAWN COMPLETE EDITION and Promises to Fix Broken PC Port

The original version of Horizon Zero Dawn may have been one of the most surprising PS4-exclusive titles in history, but its new PC port is a different story, as it's missing many features that made 2017's game special.
Quite surprisingly, the recently released PC edition of Horizon Zero Dawn is a major disappointment from a graphics standpoint, as it features no snow deformation — which was properly introduced in the big Frozen Wilds expansion — while its broken upscaling to 4K and stuttering frame-rate also leave a lot to be desired.
Thankfully, Amsterdam-based Guerrilla is doing whatever they can to fix the lacking port, and just released the PC version's first post-launch update (Patch 1.01) that fixes several backend issues and problems with concentration and other slowdown mechanics. You can take a look at the latest patch notes on Reddit.
"We're still working hard to address the issues with Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition for PC that have affected some of you since launch," the award-winning developer said. "We'll update you as soon as we can share more information - thanks again for your continued patience and understanding!"
It's worth remembering that the unimpressive PC edition of Horizon Zero Dawn is not the only major project Guerrilla is working on, as the studio is also developing Horizon Forbidden West, which will arrive on PS5.
