NEED FOR SPEED HOT PURSUIT - REMASTERED Arrives on Switch and Xbox One This Fall, Amazon Reveals

The long-rumoured remaster of Criterion Games' award-winning Need for Speed Hot Pursuit will release for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on November 13 — at least according to a now-deleted Amazon UK listing.

Furthermore, Amazon UK has revealed that Need for Speed Hot Pursuit - Remastered will be priced at £34.99.

Considering that Burnout Paradise Remastered — which was also created by the team at Criterion (with some help from Stellar Entertainment) — was one of the best-reviewed racing games of 2018, fans of the original version of the studio's first Need for Speed should keep an eye on its yet-to-be-revealed remaster.

For those unfamiliar with Criterion's remake of 1998's Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit, the 2010 title remains one of the most acclaimed Need for Speed games in history, sitting at a remarkable 89% score on Metacritic.

As a friendly reminder, Criterion is currently focusing on a new — and maybe more importantly, next-genNeed for Speed title, as EA decided to turn Ghost Games — the Gothenburg-based creators of the last three NFS games: 2015's reboot, 2017's Payback, and 2019's Heat — into an engineering support studio.

At the time of this writing, EA had not shared any plans to publish Need for Speed Hot Pursuit - Remastered.
