Bloober Team's THE MEDIUM and OBSERVER: SYSTEM REDUX Are Coming to Epic Games Store
Although The Medium is now officially headed to the EGS, Bloober is not planning to abandon the game's already announced Steam version, and the title will be available on both digital storefronts later this year.
Considering that Observer: System Redux is also supposed to make its debut sometime in Q4 2020, the award-winning Polish developer will definitely reveal the games' official release dates in the near future.
For those unfamiliar with Observer: System Redux, it's a cutting-edge remake of 2017's critically acclaimed original. Its story is focused on detective Dan Lazarski — played by the late Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner) — who tries to solve outrageous cases by plugging into the neural implants of both criminals and victims.
When it comes to The Medium, this all-new spiritual successor to Silent Hill — which also happens to be the studio's biggest project to date — will allow the player to take on the role of the titular heroin and embark on a pulse-pounding adventure — featuring plenty of supernatural elements — set in an abandoned hotel.
Become a medium living in two worlds: the real and the spirit one. Haunted by a vision of a child’s murder, you travel to an abandoned hotel resort, which years ago became the stage of an unthinkable tragedy. There you begin your search for difficult answers. As a medium with access to both worlds, you have a wider perspective and can see more clearly that there’s no one simple truth to what others perceive. Nothing is what it seems, everything has an other side.
The Medium is coming to Xbox Series X and PC (via Steam and the EGS) this holiday season.
One of the scariest cyberpunk stories has been rebuilt and augmented for the next generation. Veteran Observers can dive deeper into this dystopian reality thanks to expanded gameplay and brand-new story content, while newcomers will get the chance to experience this cyberpunk thriller in all its chilling next-gen glory.
Observer: System Redux is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC (via the EGS) in 2020.
