Long-Rumoured Remaster of 2007's MASS EFFECT Will Reportedly Arrive This October

According to VentureBeat's Jeff Grubb — who has proven himself to be a reliable source in recent weeks — Electronic Arts is planning to release the long-awaited remastered version of 2007's Mass Effect this October.
Considering that it's not official information, you should probably take it with a grain of salt for the time being. Thankfully, those who just can't wait to play a Mass Effect–like title may want to keep an eye on People Can Fly's Outriders, which is reportedly inspired by BioWare's greatest game series and Diablo.
Although Mass Effect used to be one of EA's best-selling franchises — it has sold well over 14 million copies — we haven't had a new Mass Effect game for a good while now. Rumour has it that BioWare Edmonton (Baldur’s Gate, Jade Empire) is developing a brand-new entry in the main series, but it's also nothing official.
It's worth remembering that the long-rumoured Mass Effect: Remastered is not the only new edition of an older EA-published title currently in the works, as Need for Speed Hot Pursuit - Remastered will arrive on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on November 13 — at least according to a now-deleted Amazon UK listing.
As a reminder, the latest Mass Effect video game — titled Mass Effect: Andromeda — was released in 2017.
