QUANTUM ERROR Will Arrive on PS4 & PS5 in 2021; DEAD SPACE–Like FPS Will Be Shown Off on August 28

Sheridan-based game developer TeamKill Media has shared some fascinating details on Quantum Error — a cross-gen first-person shooter inspired by the Dead Space series — and it's a mixture of good and bad news.

First of all, the love letter to Doom 3 will be shown off during the fast-approaching Future Games Show on the 28th of August. The all-new video showcased at the digital event will be approximately six minutes long.

Although Quantum Error will be stepping into the spotlight soon, the bad news is that highly anticipated FPS won't make its debut this year as originally planned. Instead, the game will arrive on PS4 and PS5 next year.

For those unfamiliar with Quantum Error, it takes place mostly on a ruined space station infested with truly awful creatures and dangerous monsters. As a brave firefighter, you will do whatever it takes to save as many humans as possible and find a way to escape from the burning futuristic complex before it's too late.

While we're patiently waiting for the upcoming Quantum Error presentation at next week's Future Games Show, take a closer look at two never-before-seen screenshots for the pulse-pounding game down below:

When the Monad Quantum Research Facility – 30 miles off the shore of CA - is attacked by an unknown entity, engulfing the complex in flames and putting it into a full containment lock-down, a distress call is sent for mutual aid to the Garboa Fire Dept in San Francisco, CA. Fire Chief Sturgis answers the call and sends you – Capt. Jacob Thomas – your partner Shane Costa and a crew by helicopter to the Monad Facility. Your mission is simple: save as many lives from the burning complex as possible and get out. However, what starts as a rescue mission quickly plummets into darkness, when you arrive and find that things are not as they appear.

Quantum Error is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2021.
