Following the recent announcement of Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, Activison has shared a new trailer for the upcoming FPS, shining a new light on the title's main cast featuring a Robert Redford doppelganger.
According to the company, the newly released "Perseus Briefing" video puts the spotlight on Jason Hudson's secret meeting with President Ronald Reagan dedicated to an imminent threat of attack in January 1981.
With Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War picking up where Call of Duty: Black Ops left off, Hudson won't be the only returning character, as both Alex Mason and Frank Woods will make an appearance in this year's CoD.
"We love that we've been able to have so many connections to the original Black Ops, to really be that direct sequel to the game," Senior Creative Director Dan Vondrak said during today's gamescom: Opening Night Live show. "One of the driving force from early in development was to say let's take this Black Ops thrill ride and infuse it with some player choice and some player freedom, anything we can do to give players a little bit more ownership over the experience." As a reminder, the game's story mode is being made by Raven Software (Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, X-Men Origins: Wolverine).

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will drop players into the depths of the Cold War's volatile geopolitical battle of the early 1980s. In a gripping single-player Campaign, players will descend into the dark center of a global conspiracy alongside iconic characters Woods, Mason, and Hudson, as well as a new cast of operatives to stop a plot decades in the making.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 13, 2020; its PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X versions will launch at a later date
