Huge Extra-Planetary Problems Intensify in Action-Packed Trailer for SCARLET NEXUS

During today's gamescom: Opening Night Live digital show, Bandai Namco released an action-packed trailer for Scarlet Nexus, a completely original RPG developed by the team responsible for 2008's Tales of Vesperia

Said video puts the spotlight on the upcoming game's main villains, deranged mutants known as the Others.

Although they can be beautiful — some of them even have flowers growing out of their bodies — make no mistake, they are a very dangerous bunch driven by pain and madness. Considering that the only thing that can calm their nerves are brains of living organisms, you should always keep your guard up around them.

As a friendly reminder, Scarlet Nexus is a cross-gen title that's coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Unfortunately, the long-awaited game still doesn't have an official release date.

To learn more about the Others — and the game's main hero, Yuito Sumeragi — check out this new trailer:

In a far distant future, a psionic hormone was discovered in the human brain, granting people extra-sensory powersand changing the world as we know it. Just as humanity was entering this new era, deranged mutants known as Others began to descend from the sky with a thirst for human brains. Highly resistant to conventional attack methods, extreme measures needed to be taken to battle the overwhelming threat and preserve humanity. Those with acute extra-sensory abilities, known as psionics, were our chance to fight the onslaught from above. To this day, psionics have been scouted for their talents and recruited to the Other Suppression Force (OSF), humanity’s last line of defense.

Scarlet Nexus is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
