As promised, a new gameplay trailer for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was shared during yesterday's gamescom: Opening Night Live event, allowing us to take a look at its core mechanics and colourful world.
Unfortunately, said video also confirms that Traveller's Tales' LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga won't launch in 2020 as originally planned, and will instead make its — hopefully successful — debut this spring.
Thankfully, there's at least one silver lining, as the game will now simultaneously arrive on both current- and next-gen consoles — PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch — and PC.
For those unfamiliar with the next major entry in the LEGO Star Wars game series — which also happens to be the first big-budget LEGO game since 2018's Lego DC Super-Villains — its story is reportedly spanning all nine Skywalker saga films, including Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi and J. J. Abrams' The Rise of Skywalker.
Wait no more, and take a look at the latest trailer for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga — featuring plenty of pretty serious cinematic moments and Traveller's Tales' original sense of humor — down below:
