EXOR Studios' THE RIFTBREAKER Receives New Trailer Focused on Base-Building Mechanics

Although Anomaly: Warzone Earth and Dungeon Defenders–like video games are on the verge of extinction, EXOR Studios' upcoming The Riftbreaker looks to be the saviour of the once-popular tower defense genre.

During this year's gamecom, EXOR — the Szczecin-based team responsible for Zombie Driver HD and X-Morph: Defense — has released two never-before-seen trailers for The Riftbreaker; one shining a new light on the title's base-building mechanics, and the other video focusing on some of the most efficient ways to annihilate thousands of hostile alien monsters — you read that right, thousands of hostile alien monsters.

According to the Polish company, their long-awaited game will feature hundreds of impressively animated enemies on screen at once — thankfully, your cutting-edge mech is one of the most powerful machines ever built by humans — and it even has a full range of equipment for base construction and gathering resources.

As a friendly reminder, the upcoming project's playable prologue is currently available on PC (via Steam).

Considering that The Riftbreaker will make its (hopefully successful) PC debut sometime in 2020 — with its PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X editions launching at a later date — we should learn a whole lot more about its core features in the very near future. In the meantime, take a closer look at these action-packed trailers:

The Riftbreaker is a base-building, survival game with Action-RPG elements. You are an elite scientist/commando inside an advanced Mecha-Suit capable of dimensional rift travel. Hack & slash countless enemies. Build up your base, collect samples and research new inventions to survive.

The Riftbreaker is coming to PC (via Steam) in 2020; will arrive on PS5 and Xbox Series X at a later date.
