Ubisoft Quebec's GODS AND MONSTERS Gets Brand-New Title — IMMORTALS FENYX RISING
According to industry insider Daniel Ahmad and Gematsu editor Sal Romano, Ubisoft Quebec's take on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been retitled from Gods and Monsters to Immortals: Fenyx Rising.
Although the open-world game's new name has not been officially confirmed by Ubisoft yet, the fact that Immortals: Fenyx Rising has been rated by the one and only Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee — everyone's favourite source for gaming news — chances are that it's actually Gods and Monsters' final title.
Back in June, Ubisoft Quebec exec Marc-Alexis told Eurogamer that Gods and Monsters would be renamed to signal a new direction for the long-delayed production — as the Canadian game developer's original vision for their upcoming game "has evolved in surprising ways" since its big announcement at E3 2019.
In Immortals: Fenyx Rising — which is being created by the team behind Assassin’s Creed Odyssey — players will take on the role of a lone hero — Fenyx — and embark on a dangerous journey to save the Greek gods.
Considering that the French publisher's second Ubisoft Forward digital event will take place sometime next month, we will definitely learn a whole lot more about the mysterious Immortals: Fenyx Rising in September.
From the creators of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey comes a storybook adventure about a forgotten hero on a quest to save the Greek gods. Embark on a journey to the Isle of the Blessed, combat mythological creatures and defeat Typhon, the deadliest monster in Greek mythology, in a face-off for the ages.
Immortals: Fenyx Rising is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, and PC (via Uplay and the EGS).
