VADER IMMORTAL: A STAR WARS VR SERIES Creators Discuss How They Brought Unique Experience to Life

Sony has released two never-before-seen Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series videos, allowing us to learn a whole lot more about its core features and the creative minds behind said VR-exclusive experience.
Although the first video is a rather standard "Tips & Tricks" trailer that focuses on the production's gameplay mechanics, fans of the ILMxLAB-created title should definitely check out the other newly released video, as it shines a new light on the origins of Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series and its award-winning creators.
"I was approached by the Lucasfilm Story Group, almost 4 years ago now, to start exploring the idea of telling a VR story, and fairly quickly we settled upon Vader," writer and executive producer David S. Goyer said. "We knew we wanted it to involve an iconic character and we were interested in exploring fear and different areas of the Star Wars universe. When they told me that we could use Vader, that we got the approval, I was thrilled because the story is also cannon in terms of what we're doing."
"VR really gives you a sense of presence in a way that no other medium does," the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice screenwriter added. "For the opportunity to have you, the player, the user, actually experience what it's like to be in the Star Wars world, that's something that children — certainly when I was a kid, we used to fight with the lightsabers with sticks — and so many people have fantasised about doing, and our VR series is really the closest you can get to that actually happening."
