City of Lost Heaven Never Looked Better in Amazing New MAFIA: DEFINITIVE EDITION Trailer

Although the story of 2002's Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven was focused on Tommy Angelo's journey, it's hard to argue with the fact that the titular town was the actual protagonist of the award-winning sandbox.

Torn apart by violence and conflict, Lost Heaven is... well, a haven for all kinds of ruthless syndicates, shady organisations and criminal enterprises — including the Salieri Crime Family, the successors of Don Peppone.

The brand-new trailer released by publisher 2K does a pretty spectacular job spotlighting the dark, ugly side of Lost Heaven, with its mobsters, crooked cops, and corrupt politicians trying to find the most efficient way to turn the misery of unaware citizens into their own personal gain — and sooner rather than later, Tommy will discover that being a heartless mafioso is a highly profitable profession that also comes at a huge cost.

That's not all, as the team at GamesRadar has also shared some never-before-seen gameplay footage for Mafia: Definitive Edition, shining a light on the biggest differences between the original and its remake.

Without further ado, take a closer look at both videos for Hangar 13's Mafia: Definitive Edition down below:

Re-made from the ground up, rise through the ranks of the Mafia during the Prohibition era of organized crime. After a run-in with the mob, cab driver Tommy Angelo is thrust into a deadly underworld. Initially uneasy about falling in with the Salieri crime family, Tommy soon finds that the rewards are too big to ignore.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam and EGS) on September 25.
