JUSTICE LEAGUE Star Jason Momoa Reportedly in Talks to Play THE WITCHER: BLOOD ORIGIN Main Hero
According to insider Daniel Richtman, Jason Momoa (Aquaman, Dune) is in talks to play the main character in The Witcher: Blood Origin, which will focus on the pivotal event known as the Conjunction of the Spheres.
Unfortunately for fans of Zack Snyder's Justice League film, it's safe to say that the mysterious protagonist portrayed by Momoa won't cross paths with Cavill's Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher: Blood Origin, as the recently announced Netflix show will take place well over 1200 years before the White Wolf's adventures.
Netflix's six-part TV series will reportedly shine a new light on the Elven civilisation before its ultimate fall.
As a reminder, Netflix is currently working on three major projects set in the rich world created by Andrzej Sapkowski: The Witcher: Blood Origin, an anime movie focused on Vesemir — Geralt's old master — titled The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, and also the second season of last year's record-breaking TV show.
Speaking of The Witcher: S2, the team at Redanian Intelligence is reporting that Industrial Light & Magic — the award-winning visual effects company responsible for bringing the vibrant worlds of Star Wars, Men in Black, Jurassic Park, Minority Report, Jumanji, Transformers, and Pirates of the Caribbean to life — will work on the next season alongside Platige Image, Cinesite, One of Us, The Third Floor, and Clear Angle Studio.
