Playstack Releases Breathtaking MORTAL SHELL Wallpapers Featuring One Lost (& Dark) Soul
The team at Playstack has released online some truly jaw-dropping Mortal Shell wallpapers, allowing you to learn more about its completely ruined universe inspired by the depressing worlds created by FromSoftware.
Although Mortal Shell — which is now available on PS4, XO & PC — was brought to life be a relatively small team, it definitely is one of the most surprising sleeper hits of 2020, sitting at a nice 77% score on Metacritic.
As a reminder, the Steam version of Cold Symmetry's debut project will be released at some point next year.
Considering that FromSoftware's upcoming Elden Ring is still missing in action and Bluepoint Games and Japan Studio's Demon's Souls probably won't be hitting stores anytime soon, fans of the masocore genre should definitely give Cold Symmetry's Mortal Shell — previously known as Dungeonhaven — a fair shot.
Be sure to take a closer look at the recently released wallpapers for Playstack's masocore title down below:
Awakening as an empty vessel, you will enter into a shattered and twisted world where the remains of humanity wither and rot. Implored to do the bidding of the mysterious “Dark Father”, you must traverse this tattered landscape and track down hidden sanctums of devout followers. There, in Mortal Shell’s most hallowed grounds, you must overcome formidable foes and harvest the sacred glands. You won’t be truly alone when the dead litter your path: Scattered across this land are the remnant anima of lost warriors who can be inhabited to gain their unique abilities and knowledge of weapons. The Dark Father is desperate for you to complete your task — but to what end?
Mortal Shell is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via the EGS); arrives on Steam in 2021.
