DESPERADOS III–Like WAR MONGRELS Shines in Over 20 Minutes of Never-Before-Seen Gameplay Footage

Destructive Creations — the award-winning team behind Ancestors Legacy (and also IS Defence and Hatred) — has shared nearly 25 minutes of pure gameplay footage for their next major production — War Mongrels.

In the recently revealed strategy game — inspired by the Desperados series — players will assume control of two Wehrmacht soldiers who decide to turn their back on the Third Reich and its foul propaganda machine.

The fresh video — which was released during yesterday's Realms Deep digital event — does a pretty good job spotlighting the most important features of War Mongrels and its unique setting — the Eastern Front.

Considering that Destructive Creations' take on Commandos is still a few months away from release — as it will arrive on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC (via Steam) at some point next year — the Gliwice-based game developer and publisher has more than enough time to polish their biggest project to date.

To learn more about the gameplay mechanics and story of War Mongrels, check out the video down below:

War Mongrels is an isometric real-time tactics game that takes place on the eastern front of World War II. Its story-driven campaign takes inspiration in the grim events that actually took place and the real stories that arose from them. Dive into the dark side of war on your own or in co-op.

War Mongrels is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC (via Steam) in 2021.
