During yesterday's Realms Deep event, developer Destructive Creations (Ancestors Legacy, War Mongrels) and publisher Apogee Software (Bio Menace, Terminal Velocity) announced Rise of the Triad Remastered.
According to the team at 3D Realms, the remastered version of the beloved first-person shooter will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC at some point next year.
Originally released in 1995, Rise of the Triad follows the story of 5 members of the HUNT (High-Risk United Nations Taskforce) who have one goal — destroying a maniac cult leader before he kills millions of people.
It's worth remembering that the newly revealed Rise of the Triad Remastered is not the only title created by Destructive Creations that will make its debut sometime next year, as the aforementioned real-time strategy game War Mongrels will also arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2021.
Without fuhrer ado, take a closer look at this all-new announcement trailer for Rise of the Triad Remastered:
