Hamburg-based game developer and publisher Rockfish Games has some fantastic news for fans of 2017's space roguelike Everspace, as its action-packed sequel will officially enter Steam Early Access this December.
According to Rockfish, the full version of Everspace 2 will arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2022.
Although the upcoming sequel will remain an action-paced single-player–focused experience, the title will also feature some looter shooter–like elements, including a tonne of loot to collect, mining, and trending.
In Everspace 2, players will have a chance to team-up with several new companions, including Ben Grendal, a skilled engineer and the main protagonist's — a clone of Adam Roslin — only friend. "Ben’s perk tree will unlock special skills in mining, dismantling, repairs, and crafting (fun fact: we named this character after our community member Grendal, one of our die-hard fans even before the original Everspace, as a token of appreciation for his great work on the Everspace wiki)," the German studio told PC Gamer.
