Villainous Vaas Montenegro Returns in FAR CRY VR: DIVE INTO INSANITY; Coming in 2021
Mechanic: Bartosz Sobczak
Category: First-Person Shooters
Ubisoft has some bittersweet news for all fans of Far Cry 3, as the game's main villain — Vaas Montenegro played by Michael Mando — will officially make a return, but it won't be a traditional first-person shooter.
According to the publisher, Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity is "an upcoming location-based virtual-reality experience that will take players back to Far Cry 3’s tropical Rook Islands, where they’ll be reunited with maniacal villain Vaas. Developed in partnership with Zero Latency VR, the experience will push players to work together to explore the islands, fight for survival and escape Vaas and his henchmen."
You read that right, Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity is yet another "escape game" from Ubisoft. Zero Latency VR's original production will be available at more than 45 venues across 22 countries and regions in 2021.
It's worth remembering that Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity is not the only Far Cry title Ubisoft is working on, as the recently revealed Far Cry 6 — starring Giancarlo Esposito, Mando's Better Call Saul costar — will be released for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Stadia, and PC (via Uplay and the Epic Games Store) on February 18.
