Although Ubisoft has killed Alex Hutchinson's space adventure Pioneer, its spirit lives on in AGOS: A Game of Space, an original VR experience from the French publisher that will make its debut as soon as next month.
That's right, Ubisoft's next major VR production will arrive on Oculus Rift, SteamVR, and HTC Vive (via Steam) on October 28, 2020, allowing players to take on the role of the last hope of mankind and find its new home.
In Ubisoft's AGOS: A Game of Space, players will take control of Earth’s last world-ship AI and do whatever it takes to make sure that the last survivors of a global cataclysm will continue our legacy on a safer planet.
According to Ubisoft, AGOS: A Game of Space gives you a chance to explore eight different star systems and "experience innovative and [...] physics-based gameplay to build and pilot your space probes. Explore unique star systems, scavenge resources, unlock new tools and technologies, and face the perils of space to maintain life on board your ship during this extraordinary journey to save humankind."
