PC Version of Bungie's HALO 3: ODST Will Make Its Debut on September 22, Microsoft Announces

The long wait is almost over, as the PC version of 2009's Halo 3: ODST will finally make its debut on the 22nd of September 22, giving you the chance to learn more about the dramatic fate of the city of New Mombasa.

According to 343 Industries and Saber Interactive — the duo behind Halo: The Master Chief Collection — the game's PC port allows you to experience "the events preceding Halo 3 through the eyes of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODST) as they return to familiar ground [...] to uncover the motivations behind the Covenant’s invasion of New Mombasa. Isolated and vulnerable, use stealth and precision to survive the dangers of the Covenant occupation in a gripping new take on combat in the Halo universe."

Just like every other game included in The Master Chief Collection, Halo 3: ODST supports 4K at 60FPS on PC.

Considering that all PC owners can play Bungie's Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, and Halo 3 right now — with Halo 3: ODST launching next Tuesday — it's safe to say that 2012's Halo 4 will also arrive on Steam and the Microsoft Store in the coming weeks — probably in October.

It's worth remembering that the next major entry in the Halo series — 343 Industries' Halo: Infinite — has been pushed back to 2021. Without further ado, check out the latest trailer for Halo 3: ODST down below:
