Capcom has some great news for all fans of last year's Devil May Cry 5, as Vergil — Dante's beloved brother (also his personal archenemy) — will join the fight as a playable character in Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition.
Coming to Xbox Series S/X on November 10 and PlayStation 5 on November 12, Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition will offer players the chance to re-experience the glory of Hideaki Itsuno's extravaganza like never before, allowing you to choose between prioritising resolution (4K/30FPS) and framerate (1080p/60FPS).
According to the studio, the award-winning project's new edition features "numerous graphics options which allow players to decide what sort of next-gen experience they want. Whether you desire the razzle-dazzle of ray-tracing, heart-racing framerates, or razor-sharp high-resolution output, you can customize the graphics options to suit your style. No matter what you pick, you'll also be able to enjoy the realism added through 3D sound implementation, and the new gameplay modes which are made possible by the increased processing power: Turbo Mode, which ratchets the gameplay speed up even higher, and Legendary Dark Knight mode, [throwing] more demons at you than ever before."
Although Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition will be exclusive to PS5 and XS, fans of the series who would like to play as Vergil but are not planning to purchase a next-gen console anytime soon should be glad to hear that the treacherous first son of Sparda will also be available on PS4, XBO, and PC (Steam) via a paid expansion.
