Hello Games has finally revealed some new details about the latest expansion for their biggest project to date — No Man's Sky Origins — and fans of the open-world title should definitely keep an eye on the DLC.
According to Hello Games, No Man's Sky Origins introduces a plethora of long-awaited features, including millions of all-new planets to explore, unique systems with multiple stars, never-before-seen flora, fauna and atmospheric conditions, overhauled menus, original species, improved cloud rendering quality, and more.
The completely free content drop is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (only via Steam).
"Four years ago we announced Foundation, our first major update for No Man's Sky, we promised "It won't be our largest update, but it is the start of something". Those words were true at the time, and they ring true for Origins. We called it Origins because it is the beginning of something new, as No Man's Sky continues to grow and evolve," the Guildford-based game developer and publisher revealed.
Say hello to a "stranger, richer and more varied universe" in this fresh No Man's Sky Origins launch trailer:
In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.
No Man's Sky is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, VR, and PC (via Steam and GOG).
