Next-Gen "Looter Slasher" GODFALL Has Received an Earth-Shattering Cinematic Trailer
Gearbox Publishing has shared an outstanding cinematic trailer for Godfall ˙— Counterplay Games' original answer to the looter shooter genre with giant swords — shining a light on the next-gen title's divided world.
Although the video tries to tell some kind of story about the eternal conflict between two heroes, there's no denying that the narrative won't be Godfall's strongest suit, as the project is first and foremost a multiplayer fighting game featuring powerful characters, deadly weapons (including war hammers), and a bit of magic.
Those who just can't wait to actually play Godfall should be happy to hear that the unique 3D fighting game has gone gold — which means that it will most definitely make its debut in November as originally planned.
Considering that Godfall is a PS5 launch title, it will be interesting to see how Counterplay Games utilises the horsepower of the system, and also how its core mechanics compare to games like For Honor and Mordhau.
To learn more about the shattered world of Godfall, take a closer look at this action-packed cinematic trailer:
You are the last of the Valorian knights, god-like warriors able to equip Valorplates, legendary armor sets that transform wielders into unstoppable masters of melee combat. Tear through foes as you climb through each of the elemental realms and challenge the mad god, Macros who awaits you at the top. Ascend in Godfall, the first-of-its-kind, looter-slasher, melee action-RPG.
Godfall is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC (via the Epic Games Store) on November 12, 2020.
