SILENT HILL 4: THE ROOM and Classic METAL GEAR Games Are Finally Available on PC Again

The team at GOG has some fantastic news for fans of Silent Hill 4: The Room, Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid, and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, as their DRM-free versions are now available on the digital platform.

The newly released GOG edition of KCET's critically divisive follow-up to 2003's Silent Hill 3 costs only $9.76.

For those unfamiliar with 2004's Silent Hill 4: The Room, it follows the story of Henry Townshend, who finds himself "trapped in his apartment and the only escape is through a mysterious portal that leads to a horrifying alternate reality. With gruesome sights around every corner and his sanity being tested, he must find his way out of this nightmare." The project is currently sitting at a fine 76% score on Metacritic.

When it comes to MGS2: Sons of Liberty, the game's GOG version is titled Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance — it's an expanded edition of the sequel released on PC & Xbox in 2002 — and is now available for $9.76 as well.

It's worth remembering that the aforementioned Silent Hill and Metal Gear games are not the only beloved productions created by the Japanese company available on GOG, as Konami Collector's Series: Castlevania & Contra arrived on CD Projekt's digital distribution platform a week ago, featuring Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, Contra, and Super Contra in one big package priced at $5.95.
