SNIPER GHOST WARRIOR: CONTRACTS 2 Will Likely Make Its Debut Between January and March 2021
Although the recently revealed follow-up to 2019's Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts was supposed to make its debut at some point this year, it's no longer the case, as the video game has been pushed back to 2021.
During a Polish investor Q&A on Thursday, CI Games CEO Marek Tymiński revealed that the studio's next big thing will likely hit stores in Q1 2021 (sometime between the beginning of January and end of March 2021).
According to Tymiński, Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts 2 will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series at launch, and its next-gen version will look much better than its current-gen edition. Unfortunately for fans of Sniper Elite 4's co-op mode, CI Games' answer to Rebellion's series won't allow gamers to play through the single-player campaign together. The upcoming sequel won't feature any classic multiplayer modes either.
For those unfamiliar with CI Games' first-person shooter, it's set in the Middle East and has two unique solo campaigns, giving all players the truly rare opportunity to hit unaware targets from over 1,000 meters away.
It's worth remembering that Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts 2 is not the only big-budget video game the Warsaw-based company is currently working on, as the long-delayed Lords of the Fallen 2 is finally being developed by two newly formed studios — under the HexWorks umbrella — in Barcelona and Bucharest.
