First Full Trailer for MONSTER HUNTER Movie Is Here and It's Surprisingly Non-Offensive

Sony Pictures has finally released the very first full trailer for Monster Hunter, a long-delayed movie based on Capcom's best-selling game series featuring a group of brave heroes, giant swords, and even bigger beasts.

Considering that Monster Hunter is directed by none other than Paul W.S. Anderson — the man responsible for Mortal Kombat and every single live-action Resident Evil movie ever made (with the exception of 2007's RE: Extinction), the fact that the picture doesn't look like a complete joke — although its attempt to replicate Guardians of the Galaxy's offbeat humour is rather cringe inducing — is a huge achievement in and of itself.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the studio is still planning to release the flick in theaters on December 30.

Milla Jovovich is not the only well-known actor to play a role in the movie, as Monster Hunter will also star Tony Jaa (Furious 7), Tip ‘T.I.’ Harris (Ant-Man), Meagan Good (Calinfornication), Diego Boneta (Terminator: Dark Fate), Josh Helman (X-Men: Apocalypse), Jin Au-Yeung (2 Fast 2 Furious), and Ron Perlman (Pacific Rim).
