PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME REMAKE Will Also Include THE SHADOW AND THE FLAME

According to the Microsoft Store, Prince of Persia The Sands of Time: Remake will actually include 3 titles: a reimagined original, 1989's Prince of Persia, and also 1993's Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame.

That's right, during your great quest to put an end to the Vizier's plans to conquer the world, you will unlock not only the groundbreaking platformer, but also its sequel (both of which were made by Jordan Mechner).

To play Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame on your PS4, Xbox One, and PC (and Xbox Series and PS5 via their backward compatibility feature), you will need to complete the fast-approaching remake first.

Originally released by Broderbund in 1993, Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame is a challenging 2D platformer featuring a lot of running, jumping, avoiding deadly traps, and battling human skeletons. Just like its award-winning predecessor, it gives you only 75 minutes to stop the hateful Vizier and save the Princess.

Sadly, it's not clear if Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame will be exclusive to Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake - Back to the Origins Set, which includes the remake, a classic filter, and the Prince's original outfit and weapons set. To get the extra content you need to pre-order the title before January 21.
