Nintendo Switch Version of PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME REMAKE Leaks Once Again
According to two Greek video game retailers — namely Game Explorers and The Console Club — the long-rumoured Nintendo Switch edition of the upcoming Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time Remake is real.
If the information provided by the retail stores is accurate, Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time Remake will arrive on the Japanese console on January 21, 2021 — on the same day as its PS4, XBO, and PC versions.
Interestingly enough, the Switch port of Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time Remake briefly appeared on the Ubisoft Store during the post-show of their recent digital event. Furthermore, the game's reveal trailer was apparently captured on the hybrid console, but you probably shouldn't take this information to the bank.
Although we still know very little about the biggest differences between the award-winning original and its remake, it should change relatively soon. With the game hitting stores on January 21, Ubisoft will definitely share new details on Ubisoft India's original take on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time in the coming weeks.
The remake may be an ambitious title, but those who expect amazing graphical features powered by state-of-the-art technology should keep their engines cool, as the publisher is not planning to create a dedicated next-gen version of the production (although it will be playable on PS5 and XS via backwards compatibility).
At the time of the writing, Ubisoft had not shared any official plans to bring the remake to Nintendo Switch.
