007: Makers of HITMAN Are Working on First JAMES BOND Video Game Focused on His Origin Story

As promised, IO Interactive has announced their next big project, and fans of the James Bond series should be happy to hear that the Hitman crew will officially develop and self-publish a brand-new 007 video game.
According to the Danish video game developer, their first non-Hitman title since 2010's Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will shine a light on Bond's past and his journey towards becoming the iconic spy we all know and love.
Unfortunately, we know next to nothing about Project 007 (it's just a working title) at the time of this writing.
It's probably worth remembering that Project 007 is not the only huge video game IO Interactive is currently working on, as the beloved Mini Ninjas team is also developing Hitman 3, which will arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Stadia, PC, and Switch (via NVIDIA's cloud technology) on January 20.
While we're patiently waiting for more details about IO Interactive's original take on Ian Fleming's greatest creation, be sure to take a closer look at the short (but sweet) announce trailer for Project 007 down below:
