Recently Delayed FAR CRY 6 Will Hit Shelves on May 26, Microsoft Has Accidentally Revealed
Last month, Ubisoft officially confirmed that both Far Cry 6 and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Quarantine had been pushed back to the publisher's fiscal year 2021-2022 (which begins next April and ends in March 2022).
Although Ubisoft has not revealed a new release date for Far Cry 6 yet, an updated product listing on the Microsoft Store suggests that Ubisoft Toronto's (Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Watch Dogs Legion) first shooter game will arrive on May 26, 2021 (only 5 days after the launch of Arkane Lyon's Deathloop).
It's probably worth remembering that the sandbox was supposed to make its debut on February 18, 2021.
Considering that the Microsoft Store is a very reliable source of information — not too long ago, the website leaked accurate release dates for Ubisoft's Immortals Fenyx Rising and Crytek's Crysis Remastered — there's a chance that the 6th numbered entry in the Far Cry series will indeed be releasing on May 26, 2021.
As a friendly reminder, Ubisoft Toronto's Far Cry 6 is a cross-gen production that will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, and PC (only via Uplay and the Epic Games Store).
