MONSTER HUNTER Movie Is Officially Set on a Collision Course With WONDER WOMAN 1984

For unknown reasons, Sony Pictures has officially decided to push Monster Hunter up to December 25 from December 30, bravely putting it on a collision course with Patty Jenkins' long-delayed Wonder Woman 1984.

You read that right, Sony Pictures and Warner Bros will give you the chance to watch two blockbusters this Christmas Day (which will be a nice change of pace after the standstill caused by the coronavirus pandemic).

Although Wonder Woman 1984 will get an original hybrid release — as it will arrive in theaters and on HBO Max on the same day — the film adaptation of Capcom's series is coming to theaters — and theaters only.

Directed by Paul W. S. Anderson (Alien vs. Predator, Resident Evil The Final Chapter), Monster Hunter follows the story of Captain Artemis (Milla Jovovich) who embarks on an interdimensional journey to put an end to a huge threat that could destroy the world. Hunter was originally supposed to make its debut on September 4.

To make the wait for Monster Hunter less painful, Sony has shared a new TV spot for the movie. Check it out:
