300 NPCs Stand in Agent 47's Way in New HITMAN 3 Trailer Focused on Chongqing Location

IO Interactive has shared new details about Chongqing, Agent 47's next playground — featuring up to 300 active NPC (powered by their cutting-edge Glacier Engine) at once — that will make its debut in Hitman 3.

Yes, you read that right, Agent 47 will finally have a chance to learn a little bit more about one of the world's oldest cultures, and what's even better, this Chinese transportation hub is "the perfect destination" for the development team to put the spotlight on some new graphical improvements introduced in the threequel.

According to IO Interactive, Hitman 3 will put the raw power of PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and high-end PCs to good use, bringing in big "improvements to lighting, reflections, animation, and AI." During your new quest, you will marvel at "full water effects with details such as rain drops hitting Agent 47 and his clothes getting wet, all adding to the immersion of experiencing Hitman 3." Obviously, said next-gen version of the game will look much better than its XBO/PS4 port, running at 60FPS in 4K with HDR support.

It's probably worth remembering that Hitman 3 is not the only major video game IO Interactive is currently working on, as the studio is also developing the recently revealed Project 007 starring James Bond himself.
