Mechanic: Bartosz Sobczak
Category: 3D Platformer Games
During the recent KaoFest fan event, Warsaw-based video game developer and publisher Tate Multimedia released the very first gameplay footage for Kao the Kangaroo, shining a light on the hero's new adventure.
Although the trailer definitely isn't the longest one, it does a nice job showing off the title's core mechanics (including double jumping) and the studio's cartoon-style art direction for the long-awaited 3D platformer.
According to Tate, Kao the Kangaroo will put the spotlight on the titular character's past, as Kao will have to find his missing sister and father before mysterious interdimensional monsters invade our world. During his journey, Kao will also team-up with his old master Walt and face his powerful opponent, the Eternal Warrior.
As a friendly reminder, Kao the Kangaroo will be arriving on PC (via Steam) at some point in 2021. The Polish studio is also planning to bring their project to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch at a later date.
