Publisher Focus Home Interactive has officially confirmed that a proper next-gen version of GreedFall is in the works — featuring some "new additional content" — as the game has sold over a million copies so far.

Yes, you read that right, GreedFall — not to be confused with Godfall, Counterplay Games' looter slasher that made its big debut on November 12 — has managed to pass this significant milestone in a little over a year.

Unfortunately, the French publisher has not shared any details about the next-gen edition's release date yet.

It's probably worth remembering that you don't have to wait until said next-gen port of GreedFall to play it on your cutting-edge console, as the 2019 RPG is now available on PS5 and XS, via backwards compatibility.

The next-gen version of GreedFall is not the only big project Spiders is working on, as the Paris-based team is currently focused mostly on finishing Steelrising, a next-gen RPG that will allow players to take on the role of a feminine humanoid robot who embarks on a violent journey to put an end to King Louis XVI's rule.
