CHRONOS: BEFORE THE ASHES Release Trailer Invites You to Explore a Forgotten World

Publisher THQ Nordic has shared an action-packed launch trailer for Chronos: Before the Ashes, a new role-playing game from Gunfire Games, which was founded by alumni developers of Vigil Games (Darksiders 2).

Fans of Remnant From the Ashes should be happy to hear that its new spin-off is currently available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, and PC (only via Steam). The project is priced at $29.99.

At its core, Chronos Before the Ashes is a new version of 2016's Chronos — Gunfire's VR-exclusive experience set in the same world as the critically acclaimed third-person shooter — which doesn't require a dedicated VR device to be played. In the newly released role-playing game, the player takes on the role of an unlikely hero who embarks on a dangerous journey to kill a dragon (hidden in a giant labyrinth) to protect his home.

Although Gunfire Games is a relatively young studio — as it opened its doors in 2014 — the Austin-based developer has already produced a bunch of high-profile titles, including Dead and Buried and Darksiders III.
