First Trailer for Tom Holland's UNCHARTED May Be Released at The Game Awards 2020

Uncharted star Tom Holland will show up at The Game Awards 2020 as a presenter, fuelling speculation that the first teaser trailer for the long-delayed video game movie will be released during the upcoming event.

Considering that Uncharted hits theaters on July 16, it would definitely be the right time to start pushing the film in a big way, and the year's biggest gaming show would be a great place to premiere its first trailer.

The cast of Uncharted also includes Mark Wahlberg (Transformers: The Last Knight, Deepwater Horizon), Tati Gabrielle (The 100, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Sophia Ali (Truth or Dare, Grey's Anatomy), and Antonio Banderas (The Mask of Zorro, Pain and Glory). The film is helmed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Venom).

Interestingly enough, Uncharted is not the only major video game movie Sony Pictures is currently working on, as the studio is also producing feature-length films inspired by the Monster Hunter and Crossfire series.

The Game Awards 2020 will air live on December 10 at 7PM ET. The event will be hosted by Geoff Keighley, featuring a significant musical performance by Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder (he will probably sing Future Days, which almost worked like a theme song for Sony and Naughty Dog's GOTY contender The Last of Us Part II).
