MAGICKA Creators Are Officially Developing Completely Original Next-Gen Co-Op Shooter
After years of radio silence, Swedish video game developer Arrowhead Game Studios has finally announced their next big thing — and fans of co-op shooter games should definitely keep an eye on their new project.
According to Marketing and Community Director at Arrowhead Game Studios Tomas Wahlstrom, the newly announced game will be a third-person shooter that will be fully playable in co-op. The studio's biggest production to date — which is being developed by 65 artists — will also be a rather lighthearted adventure.
The mysterious game is a fully fledged next-gen title, which means that it won't be available on PS4 & XBO.
For those unfamiliar with Arrowhead Game Studios' previous titles, the Stockholm-based studio is probably best-known for creating the award-winning Magicka franchise — although the team wasn't directly involved in the works on the sequel — as well as 2013's The Showdown Effect, 2014's Gauntlet and 2015's Helldivers.
While we're patiently waiting for more details about the project, take a look at its first enigmatic screenshot:
