Even Vin Diesel Can't Save Poorly Edited Reveal Trailer for ARK: SURVIVAL EVOLVED Sequel

Studio Wildcard has shared a truly bizarre announcement trailer for Ark II, featuring Vin Diesel, a pretty rude kid, a group of hostile natives, one giant dino, some breathtaking vistas, and also countless editing mistakes.

According to Xbox Global Product Marketing Manager Tao Sila, Diesel likes the series so much — he's spent more than 1,000 hours playing Ark Survival Evolved — that he will serve as the sequel's executive producer.

"With Ark II, players will be thrust into a [...] new world of primitive survival against both beast and man, facing down the ever-present threats of hyper-realistic [...] dinosaurs, aggressive alien fauna, and the exotic environments of an unearthly planet," he said. "Survivors will continue Ark’s dramatic eons-spanning story of humankind’s evolution, in this next-generation sandbox survival experience."

Ark II will be arriving on PC and next-gen platforms (as an Xbox Series S/X console launch exclusive) in 2022.

In the next-gen sequel, the Fast & Furious frontman will portray Santiago da Costa. He will also play the very same character in Ark: The Animated Series, a new TV adaptation of the beloved IP aiming for a 2022 launch.

Among the celebrities lending their voices to Ark: The Animated Series are also Gerard Butler, Michelle Yeoh, Madeleine Madden, Elliot Page, David Tennant, Karl Urban, Jeffrey Wright, Devery Jacobs and Russell Crowe.
