Housemarque's Next-Gen Shooter RETURNAL Will Be Available for PlayStation 5 on March 19

Although Returnal probably won't be the most significant PlayStation 5-exclusive game launching next year, the original shooter surely deserves your attention — and you won't have to wait too long to actually play it.

According to Sony, Housemarque's biggest title to date will be arriving on PlayStation 5 on March 19, 2021.

For those unfamiliar with Returnal, it's an intense TPS with roguelike gameplay — and it shouldn't come as much of surprise since it's being developed by the studio responsible for Outland, Resogun, and Matterfall.

Unlike the vast majority of PS4 and PS5 exclusives, Returnal won't be a story-driven adventure — although its recently released gameplay trailer suggests the title will feature some scenes focused on the backstory of Selene — as Housemarque are doing their very best to deliver a truly mesmerising "bullet-hell" experience.

With Returnal making its long-awaited debut as soon as this March, the publisher will definitely share some exciting details about the Helsinki-based video game developer's next action-packed production in the near future. In the meantime, take a closer look at the aforementioned gameplay trailer for Returnal down below:
