WORLD WAR Z Makers Are Developing EVIL DEAD: THE GAME Starring Bruce Campbell Himself

The Evil Dead world will get a whole lot bigger really soon, as Boss Team Games has announced a new co-op game that will allow you to join forces with up to 3 friends (or take control of the deadly Kandarian Demon).

Fans of the Sam Raimi–created franchise should be happy to hear that Bruce Campbell — the beloved actor and producer who played the eccentric character in the original Evil Dead trilogy and Starz's Ash vs Evil Dead TV series — will reprise his (arguably most famous) role as Ashley J. Williams in the fresh cross-gen shooter.

The newly revealed TPS is being developed by Saber Interactive, the award-winning creators of World War Z, SnowRunner and Crysis Remastered. Their next big thing is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The project will be published by Wilshire-based Boss Team Games.

"I’m excited to be strapping on the chainsaw one more time," the renowned actor — who also portrayed Ash in Dead by Daylight — said. "Boss Team and Saber [...]  are planning a huge immersive dealio, and I knew I had to come back. You’ll be able to step into my shoes and kick some Deadite ass." Interestingly enough, Evil Dead: The Game will actually be the 3rd fully fledged entry in the Evil Dead game series, as Evil Dead: Hail to the King and Evil Dead Regeneration made their debut back in 2000 and 2005, respectively.
