IGN has shared an impressive gameplay teaser trailer for STALKER 2 — Ukrainian video game developer GSC Game World's first fully fledged instalment in its most popular franchise since 2010's STALKER Call of Pripyat.
Although the newly released video is relatively short, it still does a pretty good job showcasing the dreadful beauty of STALKER 2 — powered by the reliable Unreal Engine 4. The fresh trailer also teases "a barely-distinguishable guitar soundtrack" that will surely help all players immerse themselves in the game world.
According to the trailer description provided by IGN, STALKER 2 will make its debut sometime this year — and will be available only on PC and Xbox Series S/X (as a console launch exclusive). Xbox Game Pass fans should be happy to hear that the upcoming FPS will be available via the subscription service on launch day.
Interestingly enough, STALKER 2 won't be the only major video game set in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone to launch in 2021, as The Farm 51's spiritual successor to STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl — titled Chernobylite — will also be arriving on XS and PC (and Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5) at some point this year.
There's no denying that STALKER 2 will be one of the most discussed video games of 2021, so waste no time and take a closer look at the beautiful trailer for GSC Game World's biggest production to date down below:
