Bagiński Pays Homage to Beksiński in Jaw-Dropping Live-Action Trailer for THE MEDIUM

Bloober Team has shared a live-action trailer for The Medium, the Cracow-based video game developer and publisher's terrifying next-gen experience that will allow you to explore 2 different worlds at the same time.

Interestingly enough, the video was made by Platige Image — the award-winning VFX and animation studio responsible for some of the most impressive game trailers in recent history (including the "Killing Monsters" cinematic for CDP's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt), and written and produced by the Academy Award-nominated film-maker Tomasz Bagiński, the director of 2002's The Cathedral and co-producer of Netflix's The Witcher.

Although the latest trailer for The Medium does a great job capturing the spirit of Zdzisław Beksiński's truly unsettling paintings, it's also pretty story-heavy, providing at least some clues about the project's main plot.

At its core, The Medium is a horror — heavily inspired by Alan Wake and Silent Hill — focused on Marianne, an agitated heroin who devotes her life to an honourable cause — tracking down the murderer of a child.

With The Medium being "so close you can almost taste it" — as Bloober Team's most ambitious (and unique) production to date will be arriving on Xbox Series S/X and PC (via both Steam and the Epic Games Store) on the 28th of January — be sure to take a closer look at the surprisingly grand live-action trailer down below:
